# Build the claim account

An illustrative explanation of the selected contract, not an execution result.

![Alder’s synthetic event, policies and records feed coverage and loss scenarios, layer obligations and an unpaid balance. A selected counterfactual supports interruption-loss analysis. Settled-payment records reconcile the unpaid balance. The account is conditional analysis with remaining evidence visible, not settlement.](https://openprose.ai/contract-views/v1/insurance-claims/c8621c08144932f8ede385cef7da12bb8ebb3e3e845021c50b47e98e612f8c21.png)

The fictional Alder example connects an interruption loss to policy layers and the unpaid claim balance. Event, policy and business records establish the common identity, dates and evidence cutoff. Policy reconstruction and coverage analysis retain disputed facts and materially different coverage scenarios.

The selected counterfactual supports the interruption-loss calculation within those scenarios. It does not decide policy coverage. Lost contribution, saved expenses, mitigation, extra expense and waiting/restoration exclusions must reconcile through time. Supported interruption loss combines with separately evidenced physical loss once, without duplicating costs.

The resulting ground-up basis passes through the applicable financial terms and layer allocation. Insurer-specific obligations then feed the unpaid calculation, matched to settled-payment records. Prior recognition and aggregate use must not be charged again when the same claim is revalued. The final account preserves every unresolved scenario and its conditional status.

The image groups several calculations and does not reproduce policy wording, weekly arithmetic or retained alternative readings. The small document marks are illustrative, not plotted observations. The source contract requires the actual underlying work and correspondence, not merely a plausible total. A supported conditional analysis remains distinct from management selection, booked reserves, accepted coverage and payment. No settlement or external action is claimed.
