# Carry a drawing change through the plan

An illustrative explanation of the selected contract, not an execution result.

![Drawing L1 and preserved accepted work and committed purchases feed the synthetic lining project’s remaining scope and materials. These produce a consistent cost-at-completion forecast and remaining schedule in a proposed revision package. History stays fixed and approval remains separate.](https://openprose.ai/contract-views/v1/construction-changes/3d673cd4e544aa68c1a1813fd6655869fcc3d21d42f97e72a80d5dbe313fa258.png)

Drawing L1 changes an underway fictional lining project. The update begins from the accepted baseline and data-date history. Completed work stays completed; noncancelable purchases remain commitments. The remaining plan must reconcile those facts with the revised quantities.

Residual materials and their availability feed both the cost forecast and resource-feasible schedule. Cost at completion combines actual cost with remaining cost without counting commitments twice. The amount still unpaid is a separate quantity. Calendar effects, idle reservations or added capacity must carry their cost consequences into the same forecast.

An approved drawing does not itself approve a commercial change or a revised execution plan. If a recovery worker is selected, its proposed capacity belongs to its own candidate schedule and estimate. The accepted baseline and immutable actual history remain available for comparison.

Source correspondence:

- [Project update](https://pkg.prose.md/releases/0.4.0-rc.1/construction/contracts/project-update.md) requires the linked scope, progress, materials, cost and schedule update shown in the drawing.
- [The committed lining commission](https://pkg.prose.md/releases/0.4.0-rc.1/construction/tests/update/program.md) commissions both the baseline and a second-crew recovery comparison.
- [Synthetic records U1–U6](https://pkg.prose.md/releases/0.4.0-rc.1/construction/tests/update/source.md) establish L1, accepted progress, outstanding purchases, calendars and later approval responsibilities.

The sketch leaves out numerical areas, panel counts, prices and the recovery branch so the shared update relationship stays readable. The full commission still requires those calculations and the separate candidate comparison. No savings, completion date or approved recovery decision is claimed. Producing the revision package does not order materials, authorize site work or supply future monitoring. Later commercial approval and execution-plan selection retain their identified owners.
