# Revise an agreement while preserving the selected bargain

Adopt [Legal mandate](legal-mandate.md). Revise the exact caller-selected baseline under a supplied Change contract, Preservation contract, and feedback disposition. Adopt Change and Preservation as requirements on the revised instrument. Feedback is evidence or a requested change only to the extent the caller's disposition grants it that role; an unaccepted counterparty redline does not amend the baseline.

Supply the baseline identity and status, incorporated documents and amendments, scope of authorized revision, intended effective event, and candidate output location. Establish whether the result is a replacement, amendment, restatement, or alternative proposal. Preserve existing accrued claims and duties, pending notices, survival, and temporal application unless the authorized change expressly modifies them. A prospective amendment must not silently rewrite the assessment of an earlier event.

Produce the operative revised text, including affected definitions, schedules, precedence and cross-references. Explain material changes in rights, duties, conditions, timing, evidence, remedies, and risk allocation; a word-level diff alone can conceal a changed legal consequence. Distinguish unchanged wording from unchanged effect, especially when a defined term or incorporated schedule changes.

Invoke [Agreement drafting](agreement-drafting.md) for the revised instrument, forwarding the mandate, Change as the requested bargain changes, Preservation, supplied fixed scenarios or Scenario contract, and any Draft-assessment contract. The drafting requirements apply to the revised scope and its dependencies; they do not require inventing unrelated clauses. Supply the exact baseline context so the draft can be read as an effective amendment or complete replacement without guessing.

Return the proposed instrument, baseline identity, comparison of consequential effects, disposition of binding feedback, scenario evidence, and unresolved decisions. Required execution or acceptance is a separate supplied work contract; the revision's existence does not perform it.
